Postpartum Getting Sexy Back: Intro

The purpose of this blog (for now; I am getting my feet wet in the blog world) is simply for motivation between my friends and I and share the joy of being healthy. I am hoping that we can all motivate on another, learn and continue healthy lifestyles for ourselves and for our loved ones. I want to put a warning label on my blog right now: I am not a trainer or a nutritionist. I know that what I do may not be the best for everyone as everyone has different body types, genes and goals. My blog is not a guide. It is merely a place for motivation and for sharing. I have tons to learn and love continuing to educate myself on how to be healthier for my particular lifestyle.

I recently gave birth to my second child and am ready to lose the baby weight. Before I got pregnant I weighed 125 (lean). I was at 15% body fat. I am ready to get back to that. My goal is to lose about 12-15 lbs and be tone again. I want to do this through weight training and high intensity quick 20-30 minute cardio workouts. I also enjoy (well I did while I was pregnant) spin class. I enjoy other things such as yoga too. However starting out will be different than what I am used to because I am going back to work and instead of working out on my lunch break which is what I normally do, I will have to use that time for pumping as I am a breastfeeding mother. So, more than ever I need the motivation to work out before and after work.

So here we go…….Let’s get sexy back!

Struggles: Chocolate, cookies, brownies, wine, beer, diet mountain dew-What are yours?

Must have: coffee-What can’t you live without?

Start weight: 142

Height: 5’6

Goal: Lose weight, tone and lead by example in the kitchen for my family
Okay, let's get started. From now on everyday I am going to post my workouts and my meals so I can hold myself accountable and so I can share my journey!
**Also, special thanks to my dear friend Trey Turner for helping me with the blog name, "Fit" for a Queen. I think it can relate to all women. We are all the queen of our world, bodies and families. :)
